2008: This was not a decision
that was made lightly. I've had a wonderful
run at The University of Arizona. I leave
with a great sense of pride in what we have
accomplished here. At this stage in my life...
Obviously, I wouldn’t have had a chance at a pro
career without the experience I gained at Arizona under
Lute Olson. I was about the last guy recruited in
America in 1983, but he saw something he liked, I
guess...
It can never be said that Coach Olson doesn’t love a
challenge. When he took over the UA basketball program,
it was in worse shape than motorcycle daredevil Evel
Knievel after his Caesar’s Palace crash...
